DESIGN and RESEARCH will be the main topic of the conference but not the title. This topic is our interest since many years through AZIMUTS our design review founded in 1991 and our post diploma founded in 1989 as the first in France.

The School of Art and Design of Saint-Etienne will be a strong part of Cité du Design de Saint-Etienne and will move in a new building which will be inaugurated end of 2007 or beginning of 2008. The Cité du Design will be a research centre as well as a working tool offered to professionals, a creative resource as well as a creative source for exploration of many facets of design.

The venue will be in this new building Cité du Design during the 6th International Design Biennial Saint-Etienne 2008 mid november 2008. This event was launched in 1998 by the School of Art and Design as an international forum for design in France. It’s now the Cité du Design’s major event.
